Our Mission Statement
The Lynn Academy of Music and Performing Arts was set up with the express aim to provide quality music education and performance opportunities for the people of Ballina and the wider community in Mayo. We intend to provide instrumental and singing tuition, stage school and performance training, as well as group music theory lessons to provide a baseline of quality to all our training. Music theory and the ability to read music are attributes we are very passionate about and we encourage all students to engage in our theory classes upon their entry to the school. The intention is that this baseline of knowledge will stand our students in good stead in the practical training of their chosen instrument, if they choose to progress to another instrument, become a choral singer, and support their studies should they choose to study music for Junior/Leaving Certificate.
Our stage school SING.DANCE.ACT is formed with the intention to provide a performance platform for young people. Our ethos is to encourage every student to reach their own personal potential.
SING.DANCE.ACT is a performance and workshop based introduction to the performing arts. Catering to students of all abilities; we encourage confidence, social skills, team work and discipline, and above all, a nurturing environment.
SING.DANCE.ACT is energetic, so a dress code is enforced. Trainers and tracksuits are encouraged, while flip-flops, Crocs are strictly banned due to safety risks.
